Tennessee Valley Federal Credit Union hosted its 16th Annual Golf Tournament benefiting Students Taking A Right Stand (STARS) on October 22, 2012 at Black Creek Golf Club. It was a beautiful day, the golf course was great, and 188 players came out to support STARS.
TVFCU would like to thank the volunteers, individual players, generous sponsors, and the staff at Black Creek for making the 2012 tournament a success. Because of the overwhelming support, over $40,000 was raised, most of which will be used for the Bullying Prevention Program in area schools.
We hope you will join us for the 17th Annual Golf Tournament scheduled for October 7, 2013 at Black Creek Golf Club. The brand new, upscale clubhouse will be complete and the daylight hours will be longer since it is earlier in the month. Minor adjustments are also being made that will help the tournament begin and end on time.
To help the registration process, we ask that all golfers register early and pay in advance. We also plan to include the cost of mulligans in the sponsorship cost which will help tremendously. Each golfer will continue to receive a goody bag and gift that day and door prize tickets will be given to all golfers upon arrival. We have already started collecting door prizes with the focus being higher quality, not quantity.
The morning group will tee off at 8:30 am and the afternoon group will begin at 1:30. In order to make sure that the morning round finishes on time, we will not be accepting more than 18 teams. So, if you would like a morning tee time, please register early.
